Who we are

MAG PR is a senior-only B2B tech PR firm working with venture capital firms and the early-stage companies in their portfolios. We were founded in 2016 with an ethos that the best PR work happens when seasoned practitioners do it themselves, eliminating the junior layer between strategy and execution. A decade in, the firm still runs that way, led by two senior partners, hands-on every account, working across the venture ecosystem in North America.

We're sector-agnostic by design, with deep experience across industries like climate, healthcare, fintech, AI infrastructure, Physical AI, govtech and more. The common thread is the work itself, which requires translating complex technology into coverage that buyers, press, and AI tools pay attention to.

Nina Pfister

Partner

Nina founded MAG PR in 2016 after a career that took her through several sides of the tech PR industry. She spent time inside an agency, built and ran a Fortune 500 global media bureau at IDG Enterprise (now Foundry), and served as VP of business development at a cybersecurity startup. By the time she launched MAG PR, she'd seen what worked and what didn't from the agency side, the media side, and the client side.

She built the firm to be the kind of agency she'd wanted to work with herself. That meant senior practitioners on every account, hands-on across strategy and execution, with engagements that had defined shape instead of open-ended scope. Today, her work centers on relationship building across the venture and media ecosystem.

Outside MAG PR, she's publishing children's books, cooking Italian food, or golfing with her husband and son.

Lauren Gill

partner

Lauren joined MAG PR in 2017 and has been a leading partner on the firm's accounts ever since. Before that, she worked at IDG Enterprise (Foundry) and ran events for Best of Boston, building corporate experience across PR, event planning, and business development. That background gave her a working understanding of what actually moves the needle for early-stage companies, whether that's the strategy that defines a category position or the day-to-day execution that turns a press list into real coverage. She's hands-on across every account she manages, from helping a founder evolve into a thought leader to running an always-on visibility program for a growing portfolio company.

Outside MAG PR, she's vacationing in Disney with her family, driving to a hundred sports practices, or walking outdoors with friends.
